1. Service Description
BuildHut is an application build hosting and distribution platform supporting Android, Linux, and Windows. We provide tools for developers to share their applications and for users to download and install them.
- Hosting and distribution of application binaries (APK, AAB, EXE, AppImage, DEB, RPM, Flatpak, and more)
- Build versioning and update management
- Developer analytics and telemetry data
- Community-driven application catalog
2. User Responsibilities
As a user of BuildHut, you agree to:
- Only use BuildHut for lawful purposes
- Not attempt to circumvent security measures or abuse the service
- Not upload malicious, harmful, or illegal content
- Respect the intellectual property rights of others
- Not use automated tools to abuse or spam the service
- Report any bugs or vulnerabilities responsibly
3. Developer Responsibilities
Developers uploading builds to BuildHut must:
- Only upload applications they own or have rights to distribute
- Ensure applications are free from malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Provide accurate application information and descriptions
- Not impersonate other developers or organizations
- Accept responsibility for content they upload
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited:
- Malware, spyware, ransomware, or any harmful software
- Applications that violate third-party intellectual property rights
- Illegal content or applications facilitating illegal activities
- Fraudulent or phishing applications
- Adult content involving minors
- Applications that bypass payment systems or licensing
- Spam, bots, or mass messaging tools
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you upload to BuildHut. By uploading, you grant us the necessary rights to host, distribute, and make your content available to users.
- BuildHut Platform: The BuildHut name, logo, and design are our property
- User Content: You retain rights to your applications
- License: You grant us a non-exclusive license to distribute your uploads
- Reports: You grant us permission to use anonymized usage statistics
6. Disclaimers & Warranties
BuildHut is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We do not endorse or verify applications uploaded by developers
- Users download and install applications at their own risk
- We are not liable for damages caused by third-party applications
- We reserve the right to remove any content without notice
7. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service. Grounds for termination include:
- Repeated violations of these terms
- Uploading prohibited content
- Abuse of the platform or other users
- Fraudulent activity
- Account inactivity for extended periods (12+ months)
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of BuildHut after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
